BIO
After spending over thirty years in the music industry Dave Omlor has finally reached a point where he finds it both weird and embarrassing to write about himself in the third person.
I am simply a freakishly average, middle aged, bald man that has been writing and performing songs as a form of self therapy for my entire adult life. I began playing in and around the Philly market in the 80’s and 90’s with Somebody Else’s Problem and The Thangs. Though both bands developed strong cult like followings in the region, I ended up leaving Philly in 1996 after an on stage incident involving a nail gun, a 1978 Les Paul, and a large stuffed llama.
I spent the last several years writing and performing all around the state of Florida as part of the band Benjamin Road. The band released its debut album Naked Sunday in 2016 and played concerts and festivals all over the state. The band was specifically known for its creative live shows including Music From the Movies of Quentin Tarantino, A Night of Tom Waits Music, several Live Rocky Horror Picture Show performances, and a Night of Dead Musician’s songs.
During the complete insanity that was 2020 I locked myself in and created a solo album titled Entropy. Through the magic of modern technologies like Dropbox and Zoom I was able to collaborate with amazing musicians from all over the US to put together nine songs that try to make sense of an extremely strange and difficult time and come out of that darkness with a bit of hope.
in 2015 my songwriting partner, Jerry Buckley and I created the band Bucklore and released the critically acclaimed, atmospheric acoustic EP For The Sirens. It has gotten on multiple acoustic music playlists around the world.
I recently released my latest single The American Boys (The Ballad of Frank Gusenberg and the St Valentine’s Day Massacre). The story of the man that survived the event (for a short time) but refused to tell the cops who did the shooting.
Dave Omlor hopes you enjoy the songs on this site. Feel free to comment on anything you listen to or read here. Dave Omlor only asks that you be creative with any trolling or negative feedback.

Entropy Reviews
"David’s overall versatility is very reminiscent of artists like Baerwald, Clapton, Robertson…artists that have taken on similarly soulful paths & journeys exploring a vast array of highly natural sounds & stunning instrumentation to go along with the gruff wisdom in their voices…those unpredictable artists that keep things fresh in all kinds of ways…and the result is always an adventurous experience that genuinely takes us somewhere else as listeners – which I personally dig on & I’m sure you do too."
Sleeping Bag Studios Music Review
"David and his music is most definitely a brightly lit beacon in the storming seas of darkness. If you love classic rock, blues rock, folk rock, Americana or just really great, timeless music, add Entropy to your library..."

" This is the kind of album that’s a true joy to come across. In making Entropy, not only was David Omlor willing to experiment – to step far outside the bounds of traditionalism and expectation – but he did this while also bringing his own heartfelt stories into the fray and presenting them in a truly relatable way."
